First solar panels fabricated with Maana Electric’s TerraBox installed

First installations of Maana solar panels in Burkina Faso.
Foetz, April 14th 2024
Maana Electric is proud to announce the delivery and installation of the first solar panels produced with its TerraBox system in two locations in Africa, marking an important milestone in the deployment of decentralized, local solar manufacturing.
Following an extended journey of innovation and engineering development, Maana Electric has delivered its first demonstration solar panels to Divaine Growth Solutions (South Africa).
In parallel, Maana Electric is pleased to announce that its customer Africa Energy Solaire has successfully installed the first solar panels in Burkina Faso produced in Luxembourg using the TerraBox.
These installations represent the first operational demonstration of solar panels manufactured locally with Maana Electric’s technology, confirming the robustness and readiness of the TerraBox concept in real-world conditions.
The collaboration with Africa Energy Solaire takes place within the framework of a cooperation project supported by the Ministry of Cooperation and LuxDev. This initiative aims to strengthen local energy capabilities, foster technology transfer, and promote sustainable development through access to clean, locally produced solar power.
By enabling on-site solar panel manufacturing, TerraBox fundamentally changes how photovoltaic infrastructure can be deployed. Instead of relying on long and complex supply chains, communities gain access to locally produced solar solutions, accelerating electrification, creating local value and empowering long-term energy autonomy in under-developed areas.
