The ESA Rising Star initiative aims to help promising companies to increase awareness of their activities towards space professionals, the general public and the investment community.

ESA announced the laureates of the 2023 Rising Stars award and Maana Electric is one of the 20 companies awarded. The competition was open on ESA’s Open Space Innovation Platform in the Spring of 2023, with applications closing in May 2023. The selection criteria were based on the credibility of the business plan, the leverage and socio-economic impact of the activity funded by ESA, and the alignment with ESA’s strategic objectives.

Being listed among ESA Rising Stars for 2023 is an opportunity for companies to increase awareness of their activities towards space professionals, the general public and the investment community. The laureates will be granted a facilitated access to the teams in ESA’s commercialization services department, to increase cooperation in domains such as matchmaking with investors, participation to events, accommodation on an ESA booth during global conferences, invitation to matchmaking and networking sessions, sharing of media opportunities, etc.
